Congratulations to Margaret Forde and Orla O'Carroll (Western Region) who led the field through three sessions of the National Inter 'B' Pairs Final.

Three in a row victory for Joan Kenny and Enda Glynn in the Carlow Congress. Both Joan and Enda had a great success in the Carlow Congress by winning the Mixed Pairs, Congress Pairs and the Team event along with Des Houlihan and Paul Barrett.

Ireland came third out of the six teams competing in the Senior Camrose event which took place in Wales,18th-20th May 2018. Gay Keaveney and Enda Glynn along with their teammates Micheal O’Briain, Padraig O’Briain, BJ O’Brien, Ranald Milne put up a tough fight. See results here.

Western Region members to the fore in Lady Milne Qualifier |

Congratulations, also belated, to Emer Joyce and Joan Kenny, who with their partners, qualified respectively in 1st and 2nd place in the recent Lady Milne qualifier. The Lady Milne Trophy is presented to the winning team in the annual Ladies Home Internationals championhsip..
Both players have represented the CBAI in previous years in this event and indeed have represented their country in other international events over several years.
Well done to both players (and their parttners) and we wish them well in the Lady Milne 2017 series which will take place in Wales in April 2017.

Congratulations are due in several directions re recent performances by Western Region Members at Regional and National level.
First off, a belated 'Well Done' to the members of the Western Region on their success in helping Connacht to retain the IBU Inter-Provinvial Championships.
Included in the Connacht Squad were the following members of the Western Region:
Gay Keaveney (PC), Henry Curran, Enda Glynn, Sean Glynn, Emer Joyce, Joan Kenny, Paul Scannell and David Walsh.
And all other members of the squad were former members of the Western Region but are now playing their bridge in other Regions around the country.
