A Big Thank You From Our Captain
A Big Thank You From Our Captain

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent charity night in aid of Palliative Care — to all who came along, those who travelled from Monaghan, Meath, Longford and right across the county, and to the many who sent donations even though they couldn’t attend. Your kindness and good humour made it a great night for a very worthy cause.

A special word of thanks to Melissa Brady and Simon Ridley, our tournament directors, for their time and expertise, and to the Cavan Crystal Hotel for their generous support and warm hospitality.

Sincere thanks also to the committee for all their hard work and organisation in making the night such a success.

We’re delighted to share that €2,000 has been raised so far, with more donations still coming in — a wonderful reflection of the generosity of our bridge community.

Sinead

Lady Milne Pre-Trials Success
Lady Milne Pre-Trials Success

Huge congratulations to Melissa Brady and Anna Shalvey who competed in the Lady Milne and Camrose Pre-trials over the weekend of August 29th and 30th. The Lady Milne Trophy (for women's teams) and Camrose Trophy (open competition) are prestigious home internationals which see teams from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland compete annually. Out of 14 pairs Melissa and Anna have successfully qualified for the Lady Milne Trials.

This is a fantastic achievement for our club and we are so proud of them both. 👏🏻👏🏻
