Not everyone has the kind of memory that allows them to connect faces with names. One way to solve that is for bridge players to wear name badges. In an effort to encourage the use of name badges as a way to build a strong sense of community, the Carson Tahoe Bridge Unit 465 Board has created a subsidy program.

From now through the end of July, Board Director Chris Roden is taking orders for name badges. Players who belong to Unit 465 (in general, people who register with the ACBL from addresses in Gardnerville, South Lake Tahoe, Incline Village and Carson City) can pay $5 and the Unit will pick up the remaining cost of $5.95 for regular badges and $7.95 for life master badges. Chris is also happy to take orders from non-Unit members as long as they pay full price: $10.95 for regular name badges and $12.95 for life master badges. Payment must be made in advance.
