Welsh Bridge Union

The WBU AGM will be held online on Zoom on Sunday 2nd June 11am. The Agenda, the Accounts and the proposed constitutional changes and motions and the Zoom link can all be found on the WBU website.
The Perry Shield, Spickett Bowl and President’s Cup 2024 will be hosted by the WWBA and is being held at the Halliwell Centre , Carmarthen on the 13th and 14th July. The EWBA is looking for pairs to represent the Area in the Perry (Open) and Spickett (Ladies) and have agreed to contribute £50 towards each participant's expenses.

Please could interested pairs contact Jennifer Wardell by Wednesday, 24th April (or ASAP!)

One of the EWBA clubs will be asked if they can provide a Team to represent the Area in the President’s Cup.

Folk Club

Penylan Folk Club

There will now be a break until September 27th although there may be one or two 'pop-up' sessions during the summer - we'll keep you informed.

The next pop-up session is on Friday 24th May at 8pm in the hall. Imogen O'Rourke, Dan James & Bernie Kilbride of 'Burn the Fiddle' will be playing as will our resident musician Jim Barnaville and our usual range of talented floor singers. Be there by 7.45pm to secure a seat.

The bar opening times (revised times from 20 April in brackets): 

Monday:  6pm (5pm) to 10.30pm

Tuesday: 6pm (5pm) to 10.30pm

Wed. to Fri.: 6pm (5pm) to 11pm

Saturday: 5pm (1pm) to 11pm

Sunday Lunch: 12noon to 3pm

Sunday Evening: 8pm to 11pm

If there are club events the bar hours may be altered
