The Eastern Counties League, Cambs & Hunts compete with teams from Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire and Suffolk.

  County League

The Cambs & Hunts Bridge League is a teams of four competition.

The competition will start in September and entries are now closed.

  9 High Pairs

One-day event for players with and NGS grade of 9 or below, also open to non EBU and Non-County members. Played Face to Face.

  Tollemache Cup

The Tollemache Cup is the national competition for County teams of 8, organised by the EBU.  Each County enters one team. The first round is held in November and the final is held in February. More details are available from the EBU website. Paul Barden is the Captain who makes the team selection.

  Teams Knockout

This is the teams-of-four championship, with matches played privately, normally online. The winners will represent the county in the EBU Pachabo - the competition for counties' teams of four champions!

  Garden Cities Qualifiers

The Garden Cities Trophy is a national competition organised by the EBU. It is the inter-county championship for Club teams of 8.  More details are available on the EBU website, click here for details. The winners of the County heat progress to the Regional stage of the competition.

  County Pairs

The County's main pairs event. 

NEW QUALIFYING FOR 2023-24

Pairs playing in an affiliated club duplicate session with 5 or more tables and scoring over 50% (Session during January 2024) will be invited to play in the County Final, previously formal heats were held in clubs. The leading three pairs are invited to represent the county in the Corwen in June. 

Final

  • Permitted systems and conventions are level 4.  All competitors must have completed convention cards before play starts. 

  • The top three pairs in the final, wishing to compete, and scoring at least 50%, will be invited to represent the County to compete for the Corwen Trophy in June,  provided that Cambs & Hunts is their County of Primary Allegiance.

  Swiss Pairs

A pairs competition in Swiss format with six 8 board matches.

  Blue Pointed Jack High Pairs

There will be two events on the day, one at 10.30 am and the second at 2.00 pm. Both will be single sessions of 20 boards and you can enter either one or both events. These will be held on RealBridge.
