Cafe Bridge.

A typical cafe bridge event is a duplicate pairs bridge game set up over multiple cafes and restaurants. Pairs move to a new venue after each round, guided by a movement card or roadbook, while board sets remain on their starting tables throughout. The registration fee typically covers vouchers which are valid for refreshments at the venues, either for a single lunch or for a drink at each stop, depending on the style of event.

Cafe bridge has a social component, whether by raising money for a good cause, attracting sponsorship for bridge from regional institutions, or gaining custom for local businesses. Cafe drives also help make bridge visible to the wider public, thereby encouraging more people to consider taking it up.

Welcome to the Inverness Caledonian Bridge Club, Inverness.

During the pandemic, Inverness Bridge Club and Caledonian Bridge Club merged to form Inverness Caledonian Bridge Club.

Much of the merger is still taking place and this website is not fully up to date.

New players and visitors will be very welcome.

The Wednesday online tournament will cease but the other online tournaments will continue for now.

Although normal club activity has restarted we are still running online tournaments on the Bridge Base Online website. 

These are taking place on Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7pm. Orkney Bridge Club run one on Thursday evenings at 7pm. Club members are most welcome to play in any or all of these. 

In particular, the Monday and Tuesday tournaments generate funds for the Inverness Caledonian club.
