| Club Nights restarting on 3rd september |
We are re-opening our club on 3rd September and will run our weekly session each Friday providing we have a minimum of 3 tables.
Please either book attendance by email to jimparker@totalise.co.uk (click here for an email link), I will email all registered players each preceding Thursday evening confirming the club session is going ahead or being cancelled due to insufficient numbers.

| Bridge Lessons |
 Mary and David will be starting their new Bridge Classes on Monday 1st September at 7.00pm at Spondon. Mary will be doing total beginners and David the second year class. It was an interesting end to the 2016- 17 event.
The best BR team overall performace in the event was by BRC with 75% wins and a well earned promotion. Well done!
The performance of the night goes to BRB who went into their last match bottom of table and looking at relegation. Well the team stood firm and strolled to a confident 19-1 victory and moved up 3 places to finish a remarkable 3rd. Well done all.

Attention members and visitors, we are holding our qualifying heat for this years DCBA County Pairs competition on 2nd Dec 2016.
All are welcome, subject to qualifying numbers around the county top 1/3 to qualifyfor final on 29th Jan 2017 and next 1/3 to be invited to consolation final on same date.

| DCBA AGM/EGM |
Attention all members the DCBA failed to achieve a quorum at the recent AGM on 5th of May so an EGM has been automatically scheduled to conclude the AGM business. The EGM is prior to the Summer Swiss Teams on 25th of May starting at 18:15 or whenever there are 25 members in attendance.

Sue did her sponsored walk on 20th June and together with her daughter Fiona raised over £500 for St Giles Hospice.
