ARDINGTON HOTEL WORTHING

The Ardington Hotel did us proud again. Thanks to Tim and Colin for organising an enjoyable weekend of bridge and keeping everything going despite a revolving series of visitors from Worthing Bridge Club taking the places of those unable to come or continuing to play.

The overall winners were Derek and Howard with Valerie and partners a very close second. The pair with the highest percentage on the Friday Evening was Valerie Taylor and Jerry from Worthing Bridge Club, on Saturday morning and evening it was Howard and Derek and on Sunday morning Kate and Susan. Full results can be seen under results and competitions or click Here

On Saturday evening the cabaret was a cover version of Flanders and Swan's Ill Wind performed by Tim accompanied by Luke.

BRITER BRIDGE CLUB 2, WEEKEND, WORTHING, 1-3 OCTOBER

Our first club weekend was originally planned for June 2020. Several changes of date and participants later on a wet and windy weekend during a petrol "crisis" 6 and a half tables sat down in the Ardington Hotel for a friendly and challenging event with a surprise visit from Burrellvis the pelvis and his backing singers Andrea and Joan with Luke fingers James on the keyboard. The results of each of the four sessions can be seen on the results calendar and the overall results can be seen here

The first two pairs of each session received an engraved coaster originally commissioned for the 2020 competition! Where the first or second pair had already qualified the third pair received the prize. The top three overall pairs received pens similarly engraved to commemorate the 2020 event!

Everyone agreed that the hotel had done us proud on the catering front and that it was well Worthing the wait.

If you want to advertise a bridge related charity event please let Jan know and we will place the details here.
