And the Winner Is.......
This Bridgewebs bridge club site lets us put up various competitions online. The Club Manager does these for fun, since they are available.
July's competitions was all about slams. You get a point for bidding and making a small slam and 3 points for a Grand Slam. Our top 3 winners for this contest were Mary Katherine Wainwright with a score of 9, Doris Feinberg with 8, and Flo Chernin with 7. Way to go, women!
Next month's (August) will be the player(s) with the Most Masterpoints. You're going to have to work hard to beat you-know-who, or if you don't know, check the Competitions page on this web site to see how you're doing!
The Minutes of the Annual Meeting, Recent Board Meetings, and the new Bylaws (retroactive to Jan 1, 2019) are now posted on the website under the menu heading "Minutes of Meetings"
Due to increased expenses, the Board voted to raise the game fee to 100 pesos, and the book of 10 tickets to 900 pesos. But remember, your game fee now includes fees for special games, such as charity, NAP games and others.
Enter your information if you have a car available to ride share or are looking for a ride. Type in the first Monday of the week, and click off which days you need. In the box marked "ride offered/wanted" you can describe further, such as "3 seats available, will pick up in front of Megacable" or "Can meet corner of Hidalgo and Canal for taxi share" or whatever you need to convey. Click on the long bar at the bottom of the form to post it on this page. By clicking on the little envelope in each entry, the person's email pops up.
