Times 1.15 pm for a prompt 1.30 start. Finishes by 4.30
 
Day: Every 2nd, 4th and 5th Thursday of each month between September and July. Click "Calendar" on the left hand menu for precise dates.
 
Table money: Gentle Section £5 per person. Novice Duplicate (must be booked in advance) £6 per person. Cash or card accepted
 
Annual sub: £0 at present
 
Activities: Friendly duplicate bridge. About 20 hands of bridge are played in the main section, less in the Novice Duplicate. Crib sheets and flippers are not permitted, except on the first two visits to the Novice section. The results will usually be calculated by the end of play. Click "Results" on the left hand menu to view. 
 
Who should attend: Players should have completed two years of lessons or be of equivalent or higher standard. Some players are quite experienced but are always very tolerant of the less experienced. The emphasis is on the social side of bridge whilst playing a gently competitive game. 
 
Refreshments: Coffee, decaf coffee, tea and biscuits are included in the price. There is a refreshment break of about 10 - 15 minutes.
 
Parking: Ample parking is available in the car park at the front of the hall. 
 
Partners: Players without partners are very welcome but need to register on this website under the heading "Partners Required Matfield" first
 
Visitors: Visitors who share our ethos are welcome.
