Matfield Bridge Club
Founded: September 1997

Meets at: Matfield Village Hall

Maidstone Road (to the south of The Green)
Matfield
TN12 7JX

Times 1.15 pm for a prompt 1.30 start. Finishes by 4.30

Day: Every 2nd, 4th and 5th Thursday of each month between September and July. Click "Calendar" on the left hand menu for precise dates.

Table money: £4 per person

Annual sub: £0 at present

Activities: Friendly duplicate bridge. About 20 hands of bridge are played. Crib sheets and flippers are not permitted. The results will usually be calculated within 2 hours of the end. Click "Results" on the left hand menu to view.

Who should attend: Players should have completed two years of lessons or be of equivalent or higher standard. Some players are quite experienced but are always very tolerant of the less experienced. The emphasis is on the social side of bridge whilst playing a gently competitive game. We recommend that players new to duplicate bridge should first play once or twice at a gentle duplicate session in Hildenborough to familiarise themselves with the requirements and etiquette of the duplicate version of the game.

Refreshments: Coffee, decaf coffee, tea and biscuits are included in the price. There is a refreshment break of about 10 - 15 minutes.

Parking: Ample parking is available in the car park at the front of the hall.

Partners: Players without partners are very welcome but do arrive by 1.15 and make yourself known to the director.

Visitors: Visitors who share our ethos are welcome.
