| Conditions of Contest |
- Teams will consist of four, five or six members. No team shall be composed of more than 6 members (ACBLScore restriction). A player may be a member of only one team in a League.
- A substitute must not be a member of another team. A player may substitute 3 times for a team, the 4th time automatically makes that player a member of the team. If there are already 6 members on the team then 1 of them must be dropped from the roster.
- Matches shall be 24 boards, scored on a victory point scale of 1 VP per IMP, with a tie being 40 - 40, and a blitz at 40 IMPs for a score of 80 - 0.
- 1/2 Matches shall be 12 boards, scored on a victory point scale of 1 VP per IMP, with a tie being 20 - 20, and a blitz at 20 IMPs for a score of 40 - 0.
- The event will be played on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm from 22 to 26 January to 1 April 2020.
- Head to Head Matches may be rescheduled but must be played before 31 March 2020. It is preferred that postponed or rescheduled matches be played at one of Pineview sanctioned sessions but they can be played at any other venue agreed on by both teams but the table fees must be paid to Al McLellan. Teams rescheduling MUST clear it with Alan McLellan, or his representative, and he will contact the director(s) to ensure that one is available. 3 Way Matches, under normal circumstances, may not be rescheduled.
- A team not prepared to begin play at the scheduled start time shall incur a 3 imp procedural penalty for every 5 minutes play is delayed. If the match has not commenced one hour after the scheduled start that team shall have forfeited the match. By mutual agreement, 2 teams may commence playing before the scheduled start but the procedural penalty can only be incurred after the scheduled start.
- In the event that a team fails to field a team for a given match, without a reasonable explanation, then that team will forfeit the match and score zero. The opposing team will receive VP's equal to the greater of 60% of the available, the average of their other results, or the reciprocal of their opponent's other results.
- No boards in any match shall be begun after 10:00 p.m.
- All teams will be handicapped.
- OPEN CHART+ conventions will be allowed when playing any “A” team. When playing team 1 or 2 one thing applies.
- If you play Multi-2 Diamonds you can only play the version that shows a Weak 2 in a Major.
- Conditions of Contest not covered in this notice will follow ACBL guidelines for team play.
