To Mike Kaufmann Brentham Bridge Club
First of all, and most important, Mark and I do hope you and your family and friends are all well and safe …
Now, when I emailed you earlier I seem to recall that I promised an update on how our Children in Need
event will work this year in these strange and uncomfortable times !
If you can’t join us – and I am aware that some of you have already told me that you don’t run online sessions
could we ask you to let your members know that there are a number of heats where visitors are welcome
the link to that list is here https://www.ecatsbridge.com/sims/cin/general/OpenSessions.asp (more may be added as I hear about them).
And … if they don’t play online at all, well maybe they would like to help by making a donation …
they can send it to us directly, so that we can make up a lovely cheque for Children in Need at the end of it all –
the link for that is https://www.ecatsbridge.com/sims/cin/general/donations.asp
and we would be so grateful if you could contact them and let them know !
But on the other hand clubs that run online sessions using BBO will be able to join us if they would like to so if you do run sessions
and feel like dipping your toe into the Simultaneous Pairs water as it were … it would be marvellous!
Those using BCL should be able to as well - all the details are here: https://www.ecatsbridge.com/sims/cin/general/importantnotes.asp
We also hope that another platform, Real Bridge should be available as well and if so I will put a link on the site for you, so do check back.
We are not charging an entry fee as such, but asking for donations to be sent to us directly (BBO are aware of this and it’s not a problem).
For English clubs, the EBU P2P charge is waived for this event (many thanks EBU, that is much appreciated).
Again, the link to how to do that is on that “important notes” page.
Anything you can do to help raise funds for this wonderful Charity would be wonderful
and if you can run a heat, well, we would just love that, but we do understand if you can’t.
Please take care and look after yourselves
Very best wishes
Anna & Mark
