BRENTHAM BRIDGE CLUB HAS RESTARTED. INITIALLY ON FRIDAYS ONLY. SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS.
BRIDGE HAS RESTARTED. INTIALLY ON FRIDAYS ONLY.SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS

Brentham Bridge Club has now restarted. Bridge at Brentham will initially be played on Fridays only. This is to give the Committee an idea of how demand is holding up and whether the measures put in place to protect your health are manageable.

These measures are as follows:

[1] All players MUST have had a double jab of COVID vaccine. On your first attendance at the Bridge Club, you must show to the person at the door to the Hall evidence that you have received the double jab. This can be your inoculation card / NHS letter / NHS QR document. If you are exempt from having the jab then please show medical confirmation e.g., doctors letter. Once you have produced the required evidence your name will be put on a list and you do not need to produce it for future attendances.

[2] Anti-viral hand sanitiser will be provided at the door to the Hall.

[3] Face masks are not required, however if you feel more comfortable wearing one then please do so. However please be aware that you may be playing against players who are not wearing them.

[4] There will be the usual (well loved) refreshment break half way through the session. Refreshments should be taken outside if the weather is dry and warm, otherwise please consume in the café area or hallway. Refreshments should not be brought into the Hall.

[5] Table money: As usual we will work on a cash basis. Please therefore have the correct money with you if possible. Fridays = £3 for members and £6 for visitors.

[6] Tables: We will keep tables at a safe distance from each other (2+ metres).

[7] Bidding Boxes: Please will East + West take their club bidding boxes with them from table to table. If you can bring one from home that would be great.

[8] Bridgemates will be used under the control of North. The Laptop will be on the stage and a scrolling screen will show you the current positions.

[9] Ventilation: Doors will be kept open to provide good ventilation. Please therefore be booted, suited and seated accordingly (apologies to Richmond BC for plagiarising the last sentence).

[10] Results of the session will be posted to the Brentham Bridge Club website as usual. However as previously notified no Master Points will be awarded.

[11] If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the Bridge session.

MESSAGE FROM WIKTOR STANIASZEK

Good morning Mike,

My play at Brentham Bridge Club has unfortunately come to an end. This

week we are moving to Fleet in Hampshire close to our son's family.

I have enjoyed my membership of the great and vibrant group of

friendly participants of face to face bridge play, so different from

the current BBO play, with just a screen in front of you.

My thoughts and thanks go to everyone, with best wishes of prosperity

for Brentham Club and its members in future.

Kind regards,

Wiktor
