Contract Bridge Association of Ireland (CBAI) club registration
We are registering the bridge club with the CBAI. When we register, local points will be awarded for our weekly competitions. We would like to register the club at the beginning of May, so we need to collect all memberships by the end of April please.
Bray Golf Club Bridge Club Membership
The bridge club is now ready to accept membership. The membership is €20.00. Table money from May 2nd 2013 will be €5.00 for non members and €3.00for members. Membership registration forms are available from our club treasurer Lillian Baker.
Bidding Boxes
We hope to be in a position to purchase bidding boxes by the end of April.
Bray Golf Club Summer Bridge League
For the months of June, July and August we will be running a summer bridge league. Starting Thursday 6th June to 22nd August with the prize giving on 29th August.
Points award
10 points for 1st, 9 points for 2nd and so on down to 1 point
from 10th place to the end. The minimum points you can get
per game is 2 (two). The maximum is 11 (eleven)
(1st prize and attendance point, 10 + 1=11)
Attendance points
Every week you play bridge you get 1 (one) point.
There will be a special prize for the person with the most attendance points and who is not a prize winner in another category. In the event of a tie for the attendance prize, there will be a draw. The league winner will make the draw on 29th August.
Prize
There will be first, second and third prizes, a beginner’s prize and an attendance prize. Along with the normal weekly prizes.
Criteria for Beginners Prize
The Beginners prize is for players in their first year (including lessons) of playing bridge.

Wednesday Bridge Group
If you would like something to do on a Wednesday afternoon from 1.30 pm to 3.30ish you are welcome to join us. We play bridge, discuss the bidding and play….... then have coffee!!!!

Bridge classes starting again (Acol 4 card majors 12-14 NT)
Improvers Monday 5th April 13.30 to 15.30,
Beginners Friday 9th April 13.30 – 15.30 both for 8 weeks.
