The Committee met last month via Zoom to decide on our reopening and make plans for the coming year. Chris has taken over from Diane as Chair. Carole has joined the Committee. Jean and Marjorie have left the Committee and we thank them for their work over several years.

We need to expand our pool of directors. If anyone would like to help with the Commitee, or with directing or scoring please contact Chris. Training can be provided. 

This year's Christmas party was once again an enjoyable session with tasty mince pies and a festive tipple.

Winners of the Chicago were Elaine and Eric - the slam won it for them.

Main prizes were also awarded to Ann and Tracey and Jennifer and Irene. 

The Committee wishes all members a Happy Christmas and a prosperous and healthy New Year. 

On 11 October, 36 members enjoyed a meal at Hazel Grove Golf Club followed by our usual Chicago bridge session.

The Club shield was presented to the winners of the Club competition; this year's winners are Eric and Elaine. 

Winners of the Chicago were Ray and Norma with Jean and Anne in second place. Other prizes were won by Marion and Margaret and Edith and Nancy.

On 12 October members gathered at Hazel Grove GC for our Annual Lunch and Chicago.

We presented a bouquet of flowers and a token of our esteem to Jean for all her hard work in managing the Club for many years. 

After a very enjoyable meal we played Chicago bridge. The meeting finished with the presentation of the prizes.

We presented the Club Shield to Terry and Mike.

The unexpected snow on Friday caused a few problems.To allow time to let people know we have to make a decision during the morning. On Friday morning there was snow both on the ground and still falling so it was decided to cancel the session. Once the decision is taken we will place a note on the home page of the website and send an email to those who have given us their email address. We also attempt to contact those without email by phone or text. If the weather is bad and you haven't heard, we suggest you check the website or call a Committee member to check what is happening. 

Good food, good company and good fun. Thanks to Lisa for organising the meal and Jean for managing the Chicago bridge. 

Irvine and Debbie were presented wth the Club shield for topping the pairs list in our 2015-2016 Club competition. 

There were joint winners of the Chicago bridge sessions. Ellen and Rae and Lisa and Diane. Nancy and Olive were nearest to a zero score and Pat and Chris gained the highest negative score - by a large margin! 

The winners of the Club competition for 2015-16 are Debbie and Irvine. Their average score for their ten best results was 56.6%. Congratulations!

This year's Annual Lunch will be on Friday 7 October at Hazel Grove Golf Club. Please put the date in your diary.
