| Country Teams Qualifying Event |
 |
Due to unforeseen circumstances this event, scheduled for 5/4 at SHBC is
now to be played on two dates. First session was 5/4, now 2nd session 26/4.
BBC entered 4 teams: Sherri Gates/Chris Worall, Robyn McGain/Richard Evans,
Anne-Marie & John Hazel, Sue Walker/Camille Farrell. Other BBC Members also
participated with partners from SHBC.
Sue Walker reported that it was: “a long day, but enjoyed the challenge of the cards
and Jo Goodacre’s fresh and delicious fare, was just superb”.

| JEAN & MALCOLM BURRELLS Monday Pairs Shield |
 |
When the BBC was formed, the Burrells' were Foundation Members. In the early days
they preferred not to play during the day as this took time away from the care and maintenance
of their magnificent garden. An evening session was arranged.
Malcolm became a Director, together they made a huge contribution to building the Club,
as we know it today.
They were sorely missed when the speed of play became too difficult for them.
