Club member, Rob Ward, ran another very successful State Veteran’s Pairs over the weekend for Bowral Bridge Club - online. The event attracted 58 pairs to the three-day event, including members from BBC and SHBC.
Congratulations to winners:
Robert Krochmalik, Silver Grand Master (Sydney Bridge Club) and Paul Lavings, Emerald Grand Master (Illawarra Bridge Club).
Dennis Watkins and Roger Conway won the Restricted Category (under 300) besides finishing second overall.
The accolades directed toward Rob and Tournament Director John Mcilraith toward the end of the event, showed that many players enjoyed themselves and had a lot of fun.
At the end of the Sunday session, Rob thanked John McIIrath, not only for directing the three-day event but also for his continuing encouragement for Bridge in the Southern Highlands.
Over a thousand dollars was raised and has been directed to the Bowral Bridge Club account for forwarding to a local charity.
