BOURNE CLUB BRIDGE SECTION
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - POSTPONED
NEW DATE TO BE ADVISED IN DUE COURSE
1. Time and Place
The Bridge Section AGM due to be held on
Thursday 23 April 2020 has been postponed
due to concerns about the Covid-19 virus pandemic.
Please refer to the Bridge Section Rules, para 7, for details. (Rules are shown on the club website and displayed on the Bridge Section noticeboard.)
2. Formal Proposals
Any member wishing to present a formal proposal at the AGM is required to inform the Secretary (John Oliver) by a date to be advised in due course. All such proposals must be in writing (for publication in the AGM Papers which will follow), must be seconded by another member and signed by both proposer and seconder.
3. Nominations for Committee Members
There are 3 vacancies on the Committee, (which may have between 6 & 8 members – Rule 6.1). Nominations for members to be elected to the Committee are to be submitted to the Secretary by a date to be advised in due course.
Please refer to the Bridge Section rules, para 6.4. Nominations must be in writing, duly proposed and seconded and agreed by the nominee. Nomination forms can be obtained from the Secretary. Details of nominations will be included in the AGM Papers which will follow.
4. Any Other Business
Any member wishing to raise a matter under Any Other Business is requested to inform the Secretary by a date to be advised in due course.
It is helpful if matters to be raised under AOB are given in advance so that any relevant detail is available. This does not preclude members raising matters at the meeting.
5. AGM Papers
AGM Papers including the Agenda, Chairman's Report, and input from the matters raised above, will be sent by email, and displayed on the Bridge Section notice board by a date to be advised in due course.
