Competition Rules
Bert Adcock Trophy
This is the club's annual pairs competition.  It is played over 3 weeks, usually in February.  Pairs must play twice to qualify.  If they play three times, they drop their worst score.  The winners are the pair with the highest average of their best 2 scores.
Delia Ridgely Memorial Plate
This is the club's annual teams competition.  It is played on one night, usually in March, and the winners are the team with the most IMPs.
Spring Handicap

A member's handicap is calculated by subtracting 50 from his/her average percentage over all games played in the previous year (April to March).

The handicaps of the two players in the pair are added together and then divided by 2 to give a handicap for the pair.

This handicap is then subtracted from the score achieved in the competition to give a final percentage.

To qualify, a member must have played at least 6 times in the previous year.

Summer Cup

The Summer Cup runs from April to September.

The winner is the player with the highest average over this period.  A minimum of 11 games is necessary to qualify for the competition.

Shergold Bowl

The Shergold Bowl runs from October to March.

The winner is the player with the highest average over this period.  A minimum of 11 games is necessary to qualify for the competition.

Improver Trophy
The Improver Trophy is awarded to the player who has made the most improvement between one year and the next.  For each player, the average of all scores in the current year is compared with the average of all scores in the previous year.  To qualify, a player must play at least 20 times in both years.
Butler Ladder

There are normally 11 team evenings in the year.  To qualify a player must play at least 6 times.

Butler scores for each game will be calculated.  The winner is the player with the highest Butler average in the year.
