The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new EU regulation which came into effect on 25th May 2018. GDPR updated existing data protection laws, and places greater accountability and transparency obligations on organizations when using a member's personal information. It gives individuals greater control over their personal information. Blarney Golf Resort Bridge Club requires each member to complete a Membership Form, wherein members give consent to the Club and the CBAI to hold personal information and to use it in specific relation to bridge; this includes permission to reproduce photographs of members, recording the winning of prizes for bridge and for the promotion of bridge.

If you are a member of more than one club, you will have to complete a form for each club, as each club has responsibilites in this area.
