We shall be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the founding of Bishop Auckland Bridge Club with a special Anniversary Dinner at the Green Tree in Tudhoe, on Thursday 9th April at 6.00pm to be followed by a session of Duplicate for everyone attending and with club members competing for the Anniversary Trophy.

We are asking all attending to arrive on or before 5.50pm so that we can begin the meal at 6.00 to allow sufficient time afterwards to play a reasonable session. Everyone's menu choices will have been submitted to the kitchen staff in advance in order to facilitate a prompt start.

We are delighted that Adrian Darnell will be in attendance in his role as the current Chair of the English Bridge Union but also as a former member of BABC.

Currently we are expecting an even number of players but should anyone be unable to attend, a host system will be in operation so that everyone will be assured of a game, even if their partner is unable to be there.

The Club is registered with the English Bridge Union and meets weekly for duplicate bridge on Thursdays at 6.55 pm.

The club now meets outside of the town in the village of Kirk Merrington and all club nights and home matches in the Inter Club Teams League are played at

Visiting pairs are always welcome and partners can often be found for single players.

Parking is available within the Community Centre grounds or on the roadside outside.
Tea, coffee at 50p, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available at the Community Centre (price list displayed) with payment via an Honesty Box.
