2027 BRITISH GOLD CUP

The most prestigious teams event in the British Bridge Calendar

 

  Closing date for entries is 30th October 2026  

 

The Silver Plate, open to all English and Welsh Gold Cup first, second and third round losers at no extra charge, is run by BGB.

The Scots have their own competition (The Marion Hill Trophy)

The Gold Cup is the most prestigious teams event in the British bridge calendar.  There will be some seeding. Matches in Round 1 are of 32 boards (though may be increased to 40 or 48 by prior arrangement between the two Captains).

Gold Cup Timetable The 2027 Silver Plate will be administered by BGB.  Your Gold Cup entry fee entitles you to play in the Silver Plate at no extra charge.  The closing date will be one week after the closing date for Round 2 of the Gold Cup.  If you do not intend to play in the Silver Plate please note this on your entry form.

Entry Fee                                       

The entry fee is £100 per team, with free entry for players under 26. There is a further fee of £100 per team payable by the semi finalists.
