Coming soon - electronic scoring

Just giving you all a heads up that in the next month BBBC will be moving over to using tablets for our Scoring System! We will be implementing the ArcScorer system which allows for the electronic capture of the lead card, shows the individual board scores and provides an instant display of the event's end result on each tablet. If anyone is interested in learning how the new system works please ask Steve as we will need cover when he is away!

Thank you to all our Scorers who have volunteered their time (and patience) in processing our results - at times being mind-readers and decipherers of quite challenging travellers! A lot of you will already be familiar with using the ArcScorer tablets (at Ashley Green and TABIC) but, for those who aren't, please be assured we'll give you all the help you need. No more mix ups if there's a Skip Round and no more confusion about who's coming to your table or your opponents' table number as it'll be there in front of you, on the screen. The system will allow for more complicated movements should the need arise.

On another note, Tony Pangbourne has decided to stand down as one of Directors - thank you Tony for helping out for the last couple of years. Please welcome Alan Pierce who has kindly volunteered to join the Director's Team. As you know, without our volunteers, we wouldn't be able to function as we do, so please be kind and don't give them too many problems!

Thank you all for making BBBC such a friendly Club.

The Club

Welcome to Berkhamsted Bowls Bridge Club.

BBBC prides itself on being a friendly and welcoming club. It is a Members' Club, but visiting pairs are most welcome - you do not need to be a Bowls player, but you will need a partner as we do not operate a host system.

The Club is not affiliated to the EBU, but is not suitable for beginners.

Further information can be obtained from the Bridge Managers (Lesley Brown 07850 123441 and Liz Temple 07956 540781).
