| Road Closure - an UPDATE |
The road works at the bottom of Bridgewater Road commenced 3 November 2025 to implement major drainage works in Brownlow Road and Whitehill.
As of 28 February the road under the railway bridge has now been opened; the only road with a 24/7 closure is where the commuters park (opposite the castle entrance).

| The Club |
Welcome to Berkhamsted Bowls Bridge Club.
BBBC prides itself on being a friendly and welcoming club. It is a Members' Club, but visiting pairs are most welcome - you do not need to be a Bowls player, but you will need a partner as we do not operate a host system.
The Club is not affiliated to the EBU, but is not suitable for beginners.

| Alerts and Announcements |
The EBU announced the following (updated 29 July 2024 – effective 1 August 2024)
Announcements:
- only apply on the first round of bidding i.e. the first (non-Pass) bid and the next three calls
- apply equally over intervention and to advancer’s bids i.e. partner of over caller
- never apply to overcalls
- do apply above 3NT
- always extend with fuller description where appropriate
Please be tolerant if opponents alert when they should announce or announce when they shouldn’t!

Bridge Club members are eligible to attend all Bowls Club Social functions. Please note that in the event that space is limited, however, priority will be given to Bowls Club members.
