Benedicts v Napier Scinde |
Show Detail |
This match brought the season to a close. The first half of the match saw the Abbott establish some clear warter and at half-time Benedicts were in the lead by a margin of 51-17. The second half was more closely fought and the featured hand with no less than 16 tricks on offer was flat. As John Behrens and Nicholas Huskinson point out the potential upside of the grand is 11 imps against the potential loss of 14imps. Given the state of the match was this a risk worth taking. It rather depends on the certaintiy of making 13 tricks. Equally the trailing team could argue that as they were behind in the match then they might as try for anything on offer.
