Barbara Noble died on 30th September 2025 following a catastrophic stroke that struck out of the blue.   Whilst we were fighting to win the Club Championship Pairs competition Barbara lost her fight for life. The sudden and shocking nature of the event has occasioned much dismay and sadness amongst those who knew her whether family or friends.

Barbara joined Beckenham Bridge Club in 2005.  She had been a bridge player for many years.  It was a game she loved and embraced with enthusiasm and no little skill.  it was as much a part of her as letters written through a stick of rock.
