Beckenham Summer Sessions ----------- Relaxed gentle duplicate for improvers

Our popular summer sessions start on Monday 3 July 2023 for 12 weeks until 25 September 2023.  These sessions are suitable for players with some basic knowledge of the game of bridge who wish to learn a little more and play a little more in a friendly environment.  Each week the session will have 12 boards (maybe more if time permits) and a featured topic of the week.  Some of the boards you play will be structured to help you get to grips with the topic of the week.  The rest will be random boards to play for pleasure.

The sessions will be conducted by the EBED qualified members of our teaching team with a bit of help from our Club members so there will be some advice and assistance for those who want it. 

Players taking part in the session will receive a commentary on the featured boards played to provide helpful tips and guidance to improve your understanding of the game.  These sessions will be a good introduction to our Improvers Course starting on 2 October 2023.

Although there is some teaching input the name of the game here is have fun playing bridge with others of similar knowledge and ability in convivial surroundings.  There will be complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits in a mid session break.

Venue:      Wesley Lounge at Beckenham Methodist Church, Bromley Road, Beckenham BR3 5JE

Time:      Mondays from 4.00pm to 6.15pm

Cost:      £5 per session paid on the day

Players are welcome to come alone or with a partner, as you wish.
