2023 Beaumaris Congress |
On Saturday December 2nd 2023, 112 bridge players attended the inaugural Beaumaris Bridge Club Congress which was directed by Martin Willcox. Players came from 24 different clubs and included 52 players from our neighbour club - the Bayside Bridge Club.
The congress was conducted in a friendly atmosphere and players were provided with a tasty lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
The winners were:
Open section
First: Len Meyer and Phyllis Moritz (pictured)
Second: C. Arul and Steven White
Third: Jan Turks and Marion Spurrier
The best placed pair with less than 80 master points combined: MaryLou Dwyer and Simone Murray who finished 11th overall on the day. (pictured with Beaumaris Bridge Club President, Heather Lindsay)
The best Beaumaris pair: Jenny Homer and Karen Ferguson. (pictured)
Our congress was a huge success thanks to the efforts of so many club members who contributed in many ways; the support from the Bayside Bridge Club and the sponsorship from The Trentham Sandringham- Retirement living by OnetoAnother and Bendigo Bank Sandringham.
Save the date for next year.
