NEW BLUE BOOK

The EBU have announced the publication of a new Blue Book which becomes effective from 1st September.

There are changes to

  • Rules on announcements
  • Rules on strong opening bids
  • Rules on non-strong 2-bids and 3-bids (at Level 4)

It is recommended that clubs should advise their members of the new rules and

club directors should make themselves familiar with the three main changes.

SATURDAY JACK HIGH PAIRS - 30th January 2021
Event Particulars

This event will be a "Jack High" pairs event and is open to players with an NGS rating of Jack or lower on the day of registration via our website.   

Entrants for this event need to register their interest to play via our website (see below for entry form link)

The event will usually be a standard BBO Pairs event playing between 20 and 24 boards (8 minutes a board) with 2 board rounds (although this might change depending on the number of entries).  

The event is restricted to Level 2 Conventions

The event will cost  3 BBO$ per person and will qualify for Masterpoints and NGS as normal.

The tournament name to search for on BBO for all these events will be "Berks and Bucks".   

On the day of the event, you can log in to register with your partner from 12.30 p.m.  We suggest (especially the first time you play in one of our events) that you register by 2 p.m.at the latest, so any registering probems can be ironed out well before the event starts. 

To avoid delays in the tournament start time, we ask all players to be logged into BBO and registered for the events by 2.20 p.m. on the day of the event.
