B&B Student League for Teams-of-Four
This competition is restricted to students in the 2nd year of a recognised taught bridge course. It involves six or eight matches (depending of the number of teams entered), and these are usually played in players' homes. At least four players need to be named at the time of entry.
The League runs from November until 31st May the following year.

The Student League 2026 was won by Cardology, Les Ross Captain), Ekta Ross, Joan Collins and Rachel Smith. From the left Ekta Ross, Les Ross, Joan Collins and Rachel Smith with their teacher, Clive Lewis.
The end-of-season pairs event for the Bridge Plus trophy was played for by 4 pairs - and resulted in a quadruple tie with all 4 pairs scoring 50% !! I wonder whether this has ever happened before?
The picture below shows all the winners (with the exception of Joan Collins who had to leave before the results were out) all with a hand on the trophy - from the left Kate Cubitt, Nigel Thompson, Mark Dyball, Rachel Smith, Les Ross, Ekta Ross, Lynn Davis. Kate's partner was unable to make it so Nigel partnered Kate, with Nigel/Kate swapping seats so that Kate was the declarer whenever Nigel won the auction.
