We are phasing out the acceptance of cheques as payment of table money at Berks & Bucks events. At county events, table money will be cash only - cheques will not be accepted. Cheques will continue to be accepted at the Green Point events.
The county has set up a new e-group facility that ensures you receive occasional reminders of events and county information via email. You will receive this information automatically if your email is registered in “My Details” within your EBU Members’ area. You can change your email address or unsubscribe by following the simple instructions at the bottom of an email.
If you have not registered your email with the EBU but would still like to be added to the B&BCBA list, please email the B&BCBA Membership Secretary - Dave Green: firstname.lastname@example.org
These are county organised competitions aimed at new and less experienced bridge players and regular club players who want to play in a relaxed environment with others of similar experience. We make special efforts to ensure that the events take place in a friendly atmosphere and so, no matter how inexperienced you feel you are, you can be sure of a warm welcome. In support of this, the event is only open to pairs having mature NGS Ratings* which add to less than 21 (or are considered to be of equivalent standard if a mature NGS Rating is not available). ( * Jack=11, Queen=12, etc.) Contact the Friendly Events Organiser Mike Ribbins (01189 473207) for more information.

In order to make this event more "friendly", playing conventions are restricted to Level 2. Most likely this will not affect less experienced players. But more experienced players will not be allowed to play some of the more "aggressive" conventions. A "Multi 2-Diamond" opening is an example of such a convention - but there are other restrictions. Click on this panel for a summary of Level 2.
