TRICKS OF THE TRADE

Tricks of the Trade runs fortnightly on Wednesday evenings, online using RealBridge, with 12 deals to play and discuss.

Tricks of the Trade covers a wide range of topics aimed at players who are looking to develop their game.

We hope to communicate how experienced players do things – such as judging the bidding, planning the hand, finding extra tricks, signalling, and even the occasional deception in the card play.

The topics should appeal to a wide audience, typically some of the 9-High regulars, and players who don’t need supervision in order to play. Participants will however have access to a commentator who can provide input from years of experience and playing the game in wider competitions.

This is a great opportunity to develop your feel for the game, and to develop your partnership understanding.

SUPERVISED PLAY

Saturday Mornings at the Clubhouse

The issue of supporting students from lessons into clubs and also providing learning opportunities for members is one shared by many bridge clubs. Face to Face Supervised play takes place on Saturday mornings from 9.30 to 12.30 with table supervision. There is no requirement to have a partner.

The goal is to develop more confidence in the bidding and play for those recent to the game or those with some limited experience who would like some revision of the principles of bidding and play.
