You Can Play Your Hands Again!

Two User Manuals have been created to show you how to re-play your game hands!  They are located in the Blue Menu above, one for replaying REAL game hands and one for replaying VIRTUAL game hands.

At the end of every game (REAL or VIRTUAL), whose results have been uploaded to the Barrie Bridge CLUB Web Site, you have a number of REPLAY THE HAND AGAIN options:

  1. You can re-play any of your REAL game hands with full control over what card is played from each north/south/east/west hand.

You can experiment with different leads or playing strategies to see if you can get an extra trick or put your opponents down.

  1. For on-line VIRTUAL games you have three options.  You can replay the hand any way you choose as described in 1 above.

Or you you can replay the hand exactly, card for card, as you played it in your on-line game or any other pairs hands for that matter to learn from them.

Or, you can replay the hand exactly, card for card, as you (or others) played it in your on-line game, and then deviate at any time during the play and take a different line.

  1. You also have the option to download the game file (REAL or VIRTUAL) and import it to a different Bridge Computer Program that allows you to replay the hands.

  New Life Master Rules

For Members by end of 2009 For New Members Starting January 1,2010
300 points (150 pigmented) 500 points (250 pigmented)

The new requirements will not apply to people who are ACBL members as of December 31, 2009 and maintain continuous membership in the ACBL until they achieve Life Master status.

For members achieving Life Master under the new rules, the rank of Bronze Life Master (500 points) is abolished. The new rank of Advanced NABC Master (the old requirements for becoming a life Master) is created. Ranks

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL NON-LIFE MASTERS

Effective January 1, 2010 the requirements for attaining Life Master status will change. The new requirements will not apply to ACBL members in good standing whose dues are current as of December 31, 2009, and who maintain continuous membership in the ACBL until they become Life Masters. What are the new requirements?

As of January 1, 2010, the requirements for attaining Life Master status will change to 500 total masterpoints, of which, 50 must be gold or platinum, 50 red, gold or platinum, 75 silver and 75 black.

What does this mean to you?

If you are not a Life Master and your ACBL membership is not active as of December 31, 2009, you will be required to fulfill the new Life Master requirements. It also means that if you let your ACBL membership lapse after January 1, 2010, before you become a Life Master, the new requirements will apply to you.

So, if you are not currently an ACBL member – now would be an excellent time to join! Click here to join as a new member or click here to re-new your membership.

ACBL AMNESTY

This offer, available until Dec. 31, 2009, is for lapsed
ACBL members who have unrecorded masterpoints.
These former members are invited to reinstate their
membership between now and Dec. 31, 2009 and receive
all masterpoints won during the time they were on
inactive membership status credited to them at no charge.

Be aware that requirements for Life Master status change
January 2010, but people who are paid up members in
2009 will still be eligible under the old regulations.

For further information or to update your membership
please go to www.acbl.org or ask Maggie for help.
