If you are wondering whether you would like to play bridge at Banbury Bridge Club, this item is for you.
Many players are under the misapprehension that only top experts play at bridge clubs; this is just not true.

We held an EGM on 4 January. Steve Rogers has been elected as our new Club Secretary to replace David Flower, and Rod Jones elected as Chairperson.
Last Thursday, December 18th was my last session at Banbury Bridge club.
Some very kind things were said, and I was presented with a Book Token, for an extremely generous amount, as a parting gift from members. I can promise all who contributed that it will be put to good use!
You will see that David Flower has announced that he has played his last session as Banbury Bridge Club. David and Kathleen are moving away from the area,
David has been associated with our club for as long as I can remember. He has been club secretary for over 20 years, in which time he has single handedly overseen the move to computerised scoring and also developing and maintaining the website. He has also run our club nights, getting us started on time and finishing on time. He has also been happy to make a ruling as director when required.
David will certainly be missed by us all, and on behalf of everyone associated with Banbury Bridge Club I would like to say a huge thank you for all that you have done over the years, and to wish you and Kathleen good health and happiness in the future.
Look at the results for July 16th. I matchpoint above average was enough to secure first place, albeit tied with two others!
Last night, Wednesday November 19th, Bicester hosted the BanBic cup. The Banbury team, Brenda and Claire, Steve and Elsie, David and David (Flower and Southcombe) came out clear winners. Bicester made Banbury very welcome. More details at www.bridgewebs.com/Bicester
