Thank you to everyone who came to support this event on Tuesday evening in aid of St. Wilfrid's Hospice. We are sending them a cheque for £185.
The committee is considering introducing a standby list in the hope that it might increase Thursday numbers so that members can simply turn up and be guaranteed a game. Please let any member of the committee know your views. Would a standby list make it more likely that you would attend? All Thursday players would be expected to act as standby occasionally.
The standby list for 1st January to 30th June is now on the club's Notice Board. If your name appears on it please will you tick if you are able to be standby or arrange a substitute. Thank you.
Would you like to play bridge on Thursday evening but are without a partner? Do phone Judy Mellor who will try to find one for you. Her number is 01243 278261.
