Trial venue 31st August

THURSDAY DUPLICATE 31 AUGUST 2023 : TRIAL EVENING

Brighton and Hove Social Club, 16 Lewes Road, BN2 3HP

click here for google maps reference†

This is our second trial evening and we need lots of you to come so we can make a good comparison with the first one held in Portslade.

Brighton and Hove Social Club is on the Lewes Road at the bottom of Elm Grove, and used to be the Labour Club.

It is large inside, old fashioned but clean, two bars, lift and we would be in the function room on the first floor.

Parking is pay and display or residentsí permit and has to be searched for in the side streets. Trinity Street is the first road left off Lewes Road after the BHSC. There is also pay and display at The Levels which is a couple of minutes walk along Lewes Road.

There are lots of buses along Lewes Road and the Elm Grove bus stop going out of town is outside the BHSC door. Estimated journey time from Tesco in Church Road is 30 minutes.

If anybody wants to share a car, either to offer or hitch a ride, please contact Denise†click here to email Denise

ial evening at Portslade which we are evaluating. It was a great turnout.

Thursday 31 August will be the second of our trial sessions, at the other end of town.

We are going to Brighton and Hove Social Club which is on the Lewes Road at the bottom of Elm Grove. There has been some comment in the press recently about their possibly closing down and they are currently putting a lot of effort into finding new hirings etc. Thank you to those members who spotted this and passed the tip on to the committee.

Some of you will know the building as the old Labour Club.

The door is easily missed in a small parade but we will post somebody familiar outside on Thursday!
