Application for membership

The preferred method to join The Avenue Bridge club is online, by following the instructions below. An alternative is by downloading and printing off a Membership form which can be found under Membership Forms for new Members and emailing to the club at theavenuebridgeclub@gmail.com  or posting to the Secretary when completed.

The Avenue Bridge Club is affiliated to the English Bridge Union (EBU) and by joining the club you will automatically become a member of the EBU. You will also become a member of Sussex County Contract Bridge Association (SCCBA) and the personal information which you have provided on this form will be passed to them.

Privacy

The club’s Privacy Policy is on the front page of the club website under Club Information. Please read it. As part of this, you and we are required to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR – a Europe-wide convention governing the use of your personal data. By applying to join the Avenue Bridge Club,

you are agreeing with our Privacy Policy and how you would like us to communicate with you.

• I have read the club’s Privacy Policy and accept the terms

• I confirm that I am happy to receive email communication from the club – the alternative means of communication is via the club notice board.

By doing so you will be confirming that you are happy with the terms and conditions laid out above. Once your membership request has been accepted you will be required to pay a subscription.

Subscription

Your membership will not be valid until you have paid a subscription of £15. Your membership covers the period up to 31 March 2026

This should be paid direct to the Avenue Bridge Club account at Barclays Bank by BACS. Sort Code 20 88 13 Account number 93986020. The reference is AS space EBU number space followed by Initials eg AS 457290 JP If you do not have an EBU number then use a number of 999000 followed by Initial and Surname eg AS 999000 JPlenty

If you do not use internet banking you can phone your bank quoting the reference number as explainrd. As a last resort you can pay by card at the club, on your first visit. We do not accept cheques or cash.
