PARKING at the NVA!  

Please be aware, repairs are still being done to the main floor of the NVA.  Parking will be limited to the south side of the lot up to the dumpster and the north side of the lot, as usual.  Please leave the parking spaces closest to the building for the workmen, NVA members and anyone needing a handicapped parking spot.  If the lot is full, please park on the east side of Victoria St. or the west side of Victoria south of Park. 

This is particularly important for Thursday and Friday games, as the NVA will be using the upstairs with us from 4:00 pm on.  

We are still trying to be good neighbours.  smiley

We are happy to have a new home for our Lessons and Gentle Bridge.  Join us at the Newmarket Lawn Bowling Club, 400 D'Arcy St., Newmarket, ON.  

 

BEGINNER'S INTRO TO BRIDGE

BRIDGE COURSES:

Bridge Basics 1:  This course is the launch pad for your bridge experience.  Recommended for beginning and returning bridge players. 

  • Register early so you do not miss out!
  • Next Session planned for Early April.   

Bridge Basics 2:  This dynamic course deals with the competitive auction.  Recommended for advancing beginners. 

  • Monday, February 23rd at 1:00 pm 
  • Tuesday, March 3rd at 9:00 am

Bridge Basics 3:  Introduces the concept of bridge conventions:  Stayman, Jacoby Transfers, The Strong 2 Club Opener, Slam conventions. 

                            Recommended for Advancing Beginners and Intermediate Players. 

Bridge Basics 4:  The Play of the Hand and Defensive Carding.  Recommended for Intermediate Players
