When must a player correct an incorrect explanation of his bid given by his partner?
During the auction, NO CORRECTION can be made or even noted. At the end of the auction, declarer or dummny must correct the error. However, defenders do NOT correct the error until the end of play.
Law 20. F. Explanation of Calls
5.(a) A player whose partner has given a mistaken explanation may NOT correct the error during the auction, nor may he indicate in any manner that a mistake has been made, including failure to alert.
(b) The player must inform his opponents that his partner’s explanation was erroneous AT HIS FIRST LEGAL OPPORTUNITY, which is: (i) for a defender, at the end of the play. (ii) for declarer or dummy, after the final pass of the auction.

All of our games feature pre-duplicated boards, hand records and tabletop scoring devices. We post session results online with ACBL and provide players with hard copies of the hand records at each session. Regular games and special games are posted on the calendar on this website.

Members of the ADBC participated in the NLM tournment in Montgomery the weekend of January 10-12 bringing home silver points! On Friday morning, Bonnie Anckerson placed 2nd E/W and Fran and Nels Madsen placed third. In the afternoon, Connie Wood and Catherine Allard placed 2nd E/W. Saturday morning, Larry Stafford and Kay McClain were 1st place winners overall. Bonnie placed 1st N/S and Fran and Nels were the overall winners in the afternoon. Great Job! In the District-wide STaC games held the week of December 16th, members of the Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club earned a total of FIFTY-SEVEN silver points. On Monday afternoon, Joe Perez and Chris Newland placed 12th in C.
On Tuesday, Faye Whidbee and Jane Clark placed 5th in A and 2nd in B.
On Thursday, Jean Paul and Sharon placed 2nd in A. Larry Stafford and Kay McClain tied for 8th in A and placed 2nd in C.

At their meeting on January 9th, the Executive Board approved a tentative calendar for the 2020 year. Attention was given to a balance of parties and play.
