MINI MCKENNEY RESULTS! The ACBL has a national competition every year for the player who wins the most masterpoints for the ACBL rank they held on the 1st of January of the previous year. Players in small clubs in sparsely populated areas NEVER win national honors, but each district and unit has awards for that segment of the ACBL. Our club is in Unit 195 of District 12. Within our Unit, our players DO VERY WELL! For 2022, nearly a dozen of us placed in the top ten for our respective rank. Three ACBC members finished first in their respective brackets (Trish Poineau, Judy Thurston, Lou Slyker). In addition to those three, here's a list of top-ten finishers in alphabetical order: Sharon Bacon (3), Jinny Crall (3), Sylvia Gill (4), Louise Haley (10), Judy King (5), Judy Kuiper (3), Anne Misiak (2), Kathy Ravelo (9), Barb Widmer (6). NICE PLAYING, ACBC! |

We are STILL looking for places that might host Lunch & Bridge in the future. Torch Lake Cafe may not be able to accommodate us in tourist season. You all know the format. Once a month on the 3rd Wednesday. Preferably a restaurant that can serve alcohol and a fixed-price lunch with a couple of options. During the "off-season" we only need space for 3-5 tables. During the more popular (warmer!) months we have usually had 7-9 tables. This may be a problem for some potential venues. Please give suggestions to any of the Managers. |
The "G" stands for GOLD and GATLINBURG! April 17-22 will find a bunch of Antrim County members having a wonderful time at the Gatlinburg ACBL Regional tournament. At least a half-dozen of us already have reservations. JOIN US if you possibly can!
