The Abbots Langley Singers (ALS) welcomes all singers. It is an 'open access' choir, meaning that we do not audition new members: all that we ask is a love of singing and a willingness to take part in rehearsals and concerts.
ALS is a community choir, with members drawn from Abbots Langley, Kings Langley,Watford and Hemel Hempstead. Since ALS is a smaller choir of around 20 singers, we aim to be more friendly and sociable than some larger choirs.
ALS welcomes new singers; if you would like to join please contact our chairman Sheila Peevers on (01923) 262433 or by email at email@example.com
A great advantage of singing with ALS is the variety of music sung. Although we sing ‘classical’ works, for the summer concert, we also sing lighter music, such as ‘Music from the Shows’, Spirituals, plus medleys of Simon and Garfunkel, Beatles and so on. And of course, seasonal music also forms an important part of our programme.
For details of our concerts, please view our concert details page. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can place you on our mailing list and let you know final details as each concert approaches. We would also be delighted to hear from you of any music you would like us to sing in the future.
Subscriptions are currently £135 per year (split up into £45 per term) ALS members may choose to pay each term or annually or by a monthly standing order, whichever is more convenient.
