JILL GLYNN |
It is with great sadness we have heard that Jill Glynn (Steyning & Shoreham) passed away at 18.00 on Tuesday 21st July. Jill was at home and had been battling with cancer for many months. She was a long time member of Steyning and a regular player at both clubs. Known for her laugh and chatter around the room, she will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts are with her husband and family at this very difficult time.

Rosalie Largin |
It is with great sadness that we heard of the death of Rosalie Largin on Wednesday last, 14th October. Rosalie had been a member at our Steyning club from it's early beginings many years before Adur Valley and was still playing until earlier this year when her health began to deteriorate. She recently shunned the idea of a telegram from the Queen on her 100th birthday only a few months away. Rosalie will be remembered for many things, not least for her acerbic humour at the bridge table. She was a stickler for the fundamental rules of the game and invariably quoted them when appropriate as justification for her bidding or play. She will be missed by us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
