| EBU ANNOUNCING & ALERTING CHANGES - 1st August |
It has been a while since Announcing was introduced (2006 - doesn't time fly) and this is therefore the first change in 7 years.
Many players are still confused about when or whether to Announce or Alert and the principles remain the same.
There are points of clarification & some important changes.
(Especially the need to alert some bids over 3NT)

The Orange & Tangerine books have now been replaced by a tasteful, but less fruity Blue book. This contains information about permitted understandings as well as the announcing and alerting rules. It can be read and/or downloaded from the EBU website: click here
