| Beginning Bridge - will start Monday November 3rd from 9 AM to 11, continuing for 8 Weeks in the Casita at Adobe Bridge Center. |
Play of the Hand - will start Wednesday November 12th from 9 AM to 11, continuing for 6 Weeks in the Main Hall at Adobe Bridge Center. (no class 12/3) |
| "If you are not playing 2/1, you are not playing Bridge!" is an exaggeration, but it highlights the importance and popularity of the Two Over One (2/1) game-forcing bidding system in bridge. This course covers everything you need to know the first time you sit down at a bridge table. We aim to teach both partners how to make the most descriptive opening bids, responses, and rebids. Find game contract faster and bid the modern 2/1 way. Books will be available to purchase at the first lesson - cost $TBD. |
"Your next step into the Magical World of Bridge", after either Beginning Bridge class is Play of the Hand.
This class covers how to make a plan when you are the declarer in a NT or suit contract. You'll learn and practice various techniques available to establish the extra winners you need in NT contracts and to eliminate the extra losers in suit contracts. Learn how to implement your plan through the order you play the cards and how to guard against the defenders interfering with your plan. |
