1- When using bidding boxes there should be no words spoken except 'Director'.
2- All players should behave in a polite manner to their partner and opposition. The bridge world accepts a Zero Tolerance policy regarding rudeness in order that no player should ever feel uncomfortable because of another's behavior.
3- Mobile phones should be turned off or put on silent and not kept on the table. At all times noise should be kept to a minimum
4- All players should be registered 10 minutes before the game starts.
5- Do not try to resolve disputes yourselves always call the Director.
6- North makes sure that the right pairs/boards are being played. East/West make sure that the boards when played, are returned to the table in the correct order of play.
7- North is in charge of putting scores into the Bridgemate and South for writing the travelers. East/West must check both. Once recorded the score is final.
8- The movement card must remain in place (not rotated) i.e. North remains in the same position on each table. East/West also play in the same position on every table.
9- Always count your cards before play.
10- Opening leads should be made face down so that any questions may be asked concerning the bidding, the lead card may not be changed before play.
11- During play when a card has been exposed it must be played.
12- Bidding and playing should be in tempo, long hesitations are not acceptable. Keep your hand off the bidding box until you have decided on your bid.
13- All unusual conventions (e.g. Capelletti, Bergen) should be alerted, explanations are not given unless asked for. A player can question an alert when it is her turn to bid.
14- Dummy must stay silent during play and should keep their hands off the table until their partner informs them which card to play.
15- Do not pass hands over for partner to look at and do not discuss hands after the board is completed (this can be done later).
16- It is unethical to remove opponents or partners cards from the board without their permission and could result in cards being misplaced.
17- Do not move until the Director calls the round.
