I will be running a bridge holiday from 27th August 2026 until 6th September at the lovely Hotel Bristol Buja in Abano Terme in Italy.

This is a popular resort with thermal baths just outside Padua within easy reach of either Verona or Venice Marco Polo airports.

The family run hotel has a great reputation for their hospitality, the quality of their rooms and for their food.

They are offering the following room options :

Basic double room € 126,00 per person per night (this room is without balcony, and has a shower or a bath tub)
Classic double room € 142,00 per person per night (this room has a balcony, with a shower or a bath tub, view on the entrance)
Elegant double room € 160,00 per person per night (this room has a balcony, with a shower or a bath tub, view on the inner garden)
Suite € 187,00 per person per night (this room has a balcony, living room and bedroom, both shower and bath tub)

There is an extra charge of €30 per night for single occupancy and there is  a sales tax of €4 per peson per night

All prices are for full board.  For half board deduct € 15 per person per day.

You can also book for additional days or for a shorter trip but there will only be bridge between 27th August and 6th September and the price for bridge will be the same whether or not you take advantage of all the sessions.

I will not be charging anything for your hotel booking over and above the hotel prices but I will charge £120 per person for the bridge

This should work out cheaper than previous trips arranged by other organisers where the bridge fee was incorporated into an increased room charge

There will be 9 evening sessions of bridge and a final session on the morning of the 5th September.

All bridge sessions will be optional* and you will also have the opportunity to play additional sessions on some mornings and to attend seminars which will take the form of reviews of the hands played previously on the holiday

*The only exception will be if you choose to play in the teams match which will take place over two sessions - if you play in the firsst then you will also need to play in the second

The objective will be for everyone to have fun and for those who are interested to also improve their bridge

For those who want there will be opportunities to visit the thermal baths and to travel to the surrounding towns and countryside

The hotel do not require a deposit and nor do I but please fill in the form below once you have booked so that I can keep track of numbers

You can also book for longer than the planned duration of the trip or for fewer nights - the bridge fee will remain the same

The hotel we have chosen is the family run Bedford Hotel which is 1 of 33 silver –star hotels in the UK and one of only two hotels on Fylde Coast with an AA Rosette restaurant.

The Hotel is very well placed near the beach, promenade, gardens and shops. There is onsite car parking together with free WiFi , a gym and lift. Lytham is easily accessible by train but if there is enough demand we will hire a coach

There will be a face to face session at Bramhall at 10am on Monday 5th May and an online session on RealBridge at 2pm on the same day
