Winter Teams matches are "head-to-head". You play in a team of four against one another team. Normally we play 20 boards with a short break at half-time, after 10 boards. If you and your partner are playing North-South on one table, your partners will be playing East-West on the other table. For scoring, your result on each board is compared with what happened on the other table,
International Match Points (IMPs)
If you are North-South and make 10 tricks in a 4♠ contract non-vulnerable that is 420 points. On the other table, if the North-South make 10 tricks but only bid to 3♠ then they get 170 points. So your team has a net result of +250 points. That converts to +6 imps for that board (see table below):

Victory Points (VPs)
The difference in IMPs between the two teams is converted into Victory Points. A huge win might be 20-0 but a closer match might be 12-8 or something similar. The scale for a Winter Teams 20 board match is shown below. RealBridge will normally show the IMPs totals and the VPs at the current state of the ongoing match.
