07/09/23 Hand 13
Sitting South you pick up a very strong hand and are surprised to see partner open the bidding.
The 2 ♦ is a conventional bid for this partnership. In fact none of the bids shown are natural!
This time the bid probably shows a weak two in spades. South bids 2 NT to ask and North confirms a top-of-the range weak two in spades, so South asks for aces (including king of trumps). North's reply shows one.
What do you bid next?

Not too difficult, I think. The obvious bid is 6♠ although a grand slam can be made because the Queen of Hearts is favourably placed.
At the table a heart was lead and the play is straight-forward. |
