Beginners Classes at the Bridge Club for 2023 – 2024
Classes for beginners will start the first week of October. The first lesson will be on Tuesday the 3rd and then the same lesson on Wednesday the 4th.
You don’t have to commit to one or the other. Feel free to come to either or both as is convenient.
We will have 3 terms, separated by Christmas and Easter.
Each term will consist of 10 to 12 lessons and the course will end round about the end of June 2024.
Each class will consist of a Powerpoint presentation of about 30 to 40 minutes followed by playing boards which illustrate the lesson.
The class will start at 7 pm and usually finish around 9.30 pm.
For the first term we charge £5.00 per lesson or £50 for the term as we understand that Bridge is not for everyone (although we wish it were) and some may drop out when they find it is not something they want to continue with.
For the second and third term the charge will be the full £50 as by that point we would like a certain commitment.
Note that for those aged 25 and under and those on unemployment benefit lessons are free.
If you are interested in learning or would like to join an existing class, please contact the education officer at: education@aberdeenbridgeclub.co.uk
We will try to accommodate beginners and improvers and also aspiring players who want to improve their game. Classes may be held in the morning, afternoon or evening depending on numbers, availability of teachers and times which suit those wishing to learn.
One is never too young or too old to begin playing bridge. It is a very sociable game which keeps the mind active.
Quite simply The Best Game in the world.
