Dear 59 club member

As most of you will be aware, the AGM of the 59-bridge club was due to be held on 12th February. After consultation with the committee I have made the following decisions:

1. The AGM will be postponed until further notice. The intention is to hold the AGM as soon as possible after club evenings are resumed.

2. The officers and committee members of the 59-club will remain in office until the AGM is held.

3. 2020 membership will be automatically extended, without further charge, until the end of December 2021.

Please note that we will be looking for a new treasurer for the club to replace John Dalton who is retiring from the post after serving the club for more years than he cares to remember.

In the next week or two I’ll be sending round an email of a more personal nature reflecting on the travails of the past year. If anyone would like to include a message for the membership I’d be delighted to circulate it. Most members who are interested in playing online bridge (competive or social) are already doing so, but if any members are still wanting to have a go please contact me and I’ll try to help get you started
