Mark your calendar on Friday, 28th and Saturday, 29th October for a weekend stay at the Forest Park Hotel in Platres.  While there, bridge games (duplicated Chicago) will be organised and we just might be lucky enough to have music and dancing on Saturday night.  And if your partner does not play bridge, bring her/him anyway as the village merits a long stroll through its streets, stopping at one of the cafes and of course the famous chocolate factory.

Errikos has negotiated preferential rates for the club: for double occupancy, the price is 40 euros per person, per night, including breakfast, 55 euros per person, per night for bed, breakfast and one other meal, and 65 euros per person, per night for bed and full board.  If you prefer to reserve a single room, prices are 20 euros higher in each of the above categories, i.e 60 euros per night for bed and breakfast, 75 euros for bed and breakfast and one other meal, and 85 euros for bed and full board.

All interested in paraticipating should inform Errikos so that the required number of rooms is assured.

Philippos Frangos has kindly offered to teach bridge players the complexities and logic of the play of the hands.  Some in the Club have shown an interest in attending his classes, but unless there is a reasonable number of people actually registering and attending, it is not economically feasible for the few who do wish to attend.  One alternative is for those few players who want to take the lessons to consider going to Limassol for once-a-week classes, making their per-person cost reasonable (about 6 Euros per class).  Those interested should indicate to me their desire to go to these classes either in Larnaca or elsewhere so that I can arrrange with Philippos details of time and place.

The article on the Christmas party costs which was originally found on the HOME page and is now found on the NEWS page will be adjusted as and if necessary after the final cost of the meal is agreed.
