Club Teams have finally finished. The Team of Shirley Durrent, Glenda Shave, John Durrent & Stewart Upton have managed to squeeze past the Colin Powell's Team in the final straight to finish in number 1 position. Well Done.

Competition Rules

This page contains details on the club competititions and the rules.

 
 
  Club Teams
  • Captains must submit an entry form with the names of the 4 team players.
  • The Captain will be named as the Primary Team Member
  • Additional Club Members may be used as substitutes when required but they must not be the Primary Member of another team.
  • There is no entry fee. Normal Table money applies.
  • Standard level LMPs awarded
  • Sessions start in September and end in June. The best 6 sessions are used to determine the overall winners
  • The winners and runners-up of this competition have the option of entering the National Inter-Club Knockout (NICKO) competition at the Club’s expense.
  • The winners of this competition will be awarded the Doris Watkinson Bowl Trophy.



  County Percentage Pairs Qualifier
  • Entry Fee £3.00 ( paid to the County) plus normal Table money.
  • County level LMPs awarded ( 2 x Standard)
  • Although this is played as a Pairs event, it is an Individual's best 10 scores from all Pairs Events which is used to determine the Club qualifiers.
  • The top 52 from a County-wide ranking list will qualify for a 4-WINNER INDIVIDUAL FINAL. 
  • A qualifier may partner any other qualifier from the same or another club in the final.
  • This competition is run as part of a normal pairs evening so the top positions will be awarded LMPs whether they are participating or non-participating pairs.
  Club Handicapped Teams
  • This competition is run as part of the Club Teams but a handicap is applied to the result.
  • In general - each teams previous season’s score (B) is subtracted from the winning score (A). The difference is rounded up/down to give a single figure (C). This figure is increased by 10% and then added to each teams score (D).
  • (A-B)= C; D= C + (C* 10%) ; Final Score = B+D
  • The winners of this competition will be awarded the Bradford Cup
  Club Individual
  • This competition will be for all Pairs events starting in September and going right through to the end of July.
  • Players who participate in fewer than 20 such events will NOT count.
  • The Player with the best 20 scores from all sessions will be awarded the Individual Cup.
  All Thursday LMPs
  • This competition will be for all events starting in September and going right through to the end of July.
  • Players, of Regional Master and above, collecting the highest number of Master Points,  will be awarded the MP Cup.
  • Players, of below Regional Master, collecting the highest number of Master Points, will be awarded the Ken Day Cup. 
  Pairs Trophy
  • This competition will be for all Pairs events starting in September and going right through to the end of July.
  • Pairs who play together for fewer than 10 such events will NOT count.
  • The Pair with the best 10 scores from all sessions will be awarded the Pairs Trophy.
  Ken Day Cup
This cup is awarded to the player below Regional Master who scores the highest total number of Master Points during the season starting in September and finishing at the end of July.
