These are the Events run by the NWBA on behalf of it’s members.

Unless otherwise stated, only NWBA members are eligible.  Events usually held at Colwyn Bay Cricket Club, starting at 1.30 pm.  Most events are direct entry, closing date for entry will be 3 weeks before the event date. Later entries might be accepted, depending on numbers.

Harold Griffiths Cup A green pointed teams of 4 event.

Mixed Pairs Area Final Leading pairs will be eligible for the Welsh Mixed Pairs final (Green Pointed) in Mid-Wales.

Welsh Open Pairs Area Final Normally a qualifying heat played as a simultaneous pairs event for the Welsh National Open Pairs final (Green Pointed) in Mid-Wales.

John Wain Cup A fun event for non-expert players. NWBA membership not essential.

Teams of 8 A qualifier for the Welsh teams-of-8 final in Mid Wales. Clubs are responsible for selecting their representative team of 8. Clubs may, if they wish, amalgamate (e.g. Ynys Mon & Caernarvon) to form a team.

Valance Cup Individual An Individual tournament. No national final to follow. Normally 25 finalists.

Portland (Mixed) Pairs The UK’s top simultaneous mixed pairs contest. All home union (e.g. WBU or EBU) members are eligible.

Laszlo Pairs Final NWBA Green-Pointed pairs final.

AGM Teams of 4 Teams-of-4 with a mid session break for NWBA AGM. All NWBA members welcome, just form your team and enter.
